I suck at this regular blogging stuff, for serious.

Life has been eventful & uneventful all at once. My days run together, as of late, and I frequently haven't any idea what day it is.
Let's see...since I last blogged, what's happened?
Dad had his knee re-re-replaced. It was quite successful, and he came through it quite well. We all had Thanksgiving in the hospital, where I was forced to indulge my cranberry sauce lust with a dozen individual jam-sized servings of Ocean Spray magic. We played a couple games of dirty board, had some sweet potato creme brulee that I had made, and then Vesko & I came home. Ves wanted me to cook a full meal, too, so I made a turkey, a ham, and several side accouterments that were magical & delicious. Melissa joined us later that night, and all was well.

In the mean time, the 'problem' with my hip was discovered, and I saw a hip surgeon in December. He said I had a labral tear, and that he could fix it arthroscopically. He scheduled my surgery for Jan 28, 2011, and said this should fix it.

Christmas came & went. We had a good time with family, and Vesko finally bought me a grown up trash can, so we weren't going through 2304234809239471 Kroger bags a day. We also spent New Years with the fam. We bought a TON of fireworks, had a ton to drink, & ate lots of delicious food.

On what I think was the 7th of Jan, we went to Ft. Lauderdale for a few days to visit Vesko's fambly, & we had an excellent time. Vesko's parents took us to Lion Country Safari in Palm Beach the first full day we were there, and it was awesome, even though I was inexplicably super sick to my stomach. It was one of those drive through parks, where all the animals were free roaming. And, of course, my 2 favourite animals were there, en masse: Giraffes & Rhinoceroses. Vesko got to spend a lot of time with his friends, and we also got to roam around the beach for a bit, too. Our last night, however, was a hot fucking mess. We went to SAS to meet his friends, and Vesko parked not only in front of a dumpster, but also, on that dumpster, was a clearly written sign that said ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING 24 HOURS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK. I look at Ves & I say, hey, honey, I don't think we should park here, ya know, what with the sign & all. He says something like, oh, Tosho said he's been parking here for over a year. I make some comment about, well if Tosho did so & so, would you do so & so? To which Ves answers, get out of the damn car & c'mon!
So, begrudgingly, I head toward the club, and, 30 min later, we go for the car, and guess what. It's been towed. What a mess that was, for sure. We had to pay these 2 BCE/WTs $150/car (3 cars in our group were towed) to get our cars out of impound, and, to add insult to injury, the car was also broken into & they stole Vesko's iPod. Surriously, men, listen to yer wimmenz. We know what the hell is up.

Anyway, after Florida, most of January runs together, and the only other thing that stands out is having surgery on January 28th. Oh, yeah, and the day before, I had another MRI on my left side, coz that hip had gotten so bad I could hardly walk. Turns out I have the same problem over there. Anyway, surgery was done, and it was so simple that I was walking myself out of the hospital. Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful in the pain relief department. That surgeon sent me out to see another surgeon, who I've since seen, and he is now going to do a Ganz osteotomy on my right hip on May 11. There's like a 98% success rate on this surgery, so I'm crossing my fingers there. Sucky part is that I'll be on bedrest for no less than 3 months, and total recovery is about 1 year. The incision is also about 18-24 inches, so I guess that will effectively end my super sexay bikini modeling career. As far as my left hip goes, the newest surgeon says that side is a better candidate for what I had on the right side, as well as an impingement surgery, which shaves the head of the femur to a more uniform surface, so that it doesn't continually rub the labrum, causing it to tear over & over again, causing it to tear repeatedly. That's also an open procedure, but the scar shouldn't be QUITE as large as the one I'll have on the right side. :(

Ugh. I have a ton more to write, but I'm exhausted. Ideally I'll write more tomorrow, but we all know how well that actually works out. Also, hopefully my next entry will be a little more entertaining, lol
